Fourth of July family fun….

We have been so busy lately gearing up for our upcoming road trip….Sophia is recovering wonderfully. It has been 1 month from her surgery and it really has become much easier, the first few weeks were tough, I dont want to lie, but she is settling in now and everything seems to have healed. The most important part is that Sophia is much more happier, she can see everything clearly and she is much more comfortable. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to Trach Sophia, for her, this is a better quality of life. The support from the community has been amazing this past month and we thank you again and again.

This past weekend we had a very special visit from the Banjany family and little Nathan. As soon as Nathan came into her house she became very chatty and was sooooooo interested!!!! Nathan was sweet as pie, and even brought a lovely gift for Sophia. We had so much fun talking and relaxing with Kristin and Alan, Vinny made yummy lobsters from Maine and Kristin brought a delicious bottle of wine….it was so nice to feel “normal” even for a short time. We cannot wait for the next visit!!! Sophia especially, I know she is missing Nate already!!!!

Fourth of July was amazing just a lazy day with our kids and some awesome fireworks, for the first time Sophia got to watch all the beautiful colors light up the sky, I loved watching her eyes wide and glowing!!!! We feel so blessed for all the good things going on for Sophia and for Sophia’s Cure Foundation……hoping to keep it going and going and going…….
